Few are equally as passionate about the trade, people and brush blow waves as Jayne. Being the glue within the salon since 2000, Jayne is known as the mother bear of the styling team.
More than 40 years’ experience in hairdressing influences Jayne to generously share her knowledge, time and support to everyone who comes her way. Her lengthy list of loyal clients is a testament to Jayne’s ability to lovingly connect with those in the community.
When you think this woman couldn’t be any more wonderful, Jayne empowers women outside the four walls of the salon in the local initiative Zonta. Jayne adores the salon’s family culture, and delights in any time spoiling her grandchildren.

Aimee is the master of the short and sharp styles. Watching her mum Jayne in the salon from a young age, Aimee knew she too would one day pursue this dream. Now, with more than 20 years' experience, Aimee is well and truly living it!
While hairdressing runs in the family, people have always remained at the centre of all she does. From the tight-knit team in her network and regular catch-ups with clients, to moments with her husband Scott and daughter Annie, Aimee is guaranteed to be surrounded by loved ones. She never passes an opportunity to make people feel special and is a big supporter of local community initiatives. When she’s not in the salon, you’ll find her filling every ounce of spare time with family and friends, baking up a storm or crossing off her list of home renos.

Don’t let Kyra’s enviable long locks fool you, this experienced stylist knows her way around short, textured and edgy cuts, matched with gorgeous colours. An inspiring creative with 12 years of styling under her belt, Kyra enjoys the every day variety in the salon, humbly stating, “there is always something to learn”.
Described as loyal and genuine, Kyra is always taking care of clients. Originally drawn to hairdressing because of her passion for people, Kyra loves striking up a good conversation and won’t skim past the details. When her hands aren’t full in the salon, she can be found looking after her beautiful daughter Demi, with a book in hand, or having a cheeky boogie on the dance floor.

You can put your trust in Natalie’s hands, having effortlessly executed (or even modelled) some of the most outrageous hairstyles from her 32 years in the industry. Natalie joined us in 2017 as has been a steady member in our VJ family bringing her wealth of knowledge to the fore.
To say Natalie is a valuable asset to our team is an understatement. On the topic of values, few rate as highly as family for this mother of twins. When not drawing inspiration from loved ones, Natalie is likely admiring the innovations of style guru Karen Walker paired with her love for shoes.
Ashley Kibblewhite

Queen of dramatic before and after reveals, Ashley can transform locks quicker than you can summon the hair flip emoji. She loves a challenge but even more so encouraging and supporting clients.
You’ll be impressed by Ashley’s 10 years of hairdressing experience, influencing her ability to restore all hair conditions to none less than beautiful. Charismatic by nature, Ashley is always down for a chat. When she’s not the mastermind behind a hair transformation, Ashley is busy enjoying her lifestyle property with her partner and two young rascal boys Cooper and Miller.

Dara Williamson

Taking on new clients
With 36 years of industry experience and a bubbly, caring personality, Dara brings warmth and knowledge to the table. After the birth of her three children, her love for hairdressing was rekindled by mastering the ‘beachy’ waves look via perming (if you dare).
Since her move from the Bay of Islands in 2019, Dara has seamlessly slotted into our salon family, describing it as “catching up with an old friend – full of love and laughter”. Mother to our amazing stylist Kyra and sister to Jayne, Dara’s caring nature is evident in the way she trains junior stylists and supports women's charities Zonta and Pink Ribbon. When she’s not working or with family, you can guarantee Dara is cuddling her pooch Archie or maybe even doing a spot of online shopping.
Hannah Wilson

As the master of rich, glossy colour palettes and having you in fits of laughter, none would expect Hannah is a soon to qualify apprentice. Falling into the hairdressing industry from her love for beauty, we are continually amazed by Hannah’s natural technique.

Although “no two days are the same”, Hannah consistently loves the opportunity to brighten up people’s days with her radiant personality (and her luscious copper locks). Outside of the salon, the saxophone consumes most of her time as does supporting the Manawatu Jazz Club. Hannah will be qualified in 2023.

With hairdressing in her blood, Bridget has always felt at home in beautiful salons. Her confidence to challenge the norm has seen her specialise in bold cuts and bright colourways, gladly welcoming back big, bouncy hair with the rest of Gen Z.

Joining us from South Africa at the beginning of 2020, Bridget says “hairdressing is more than a job – it’s a way of enabling me to unleash my creative side”. Her fun and bubbly personality makes every moment a hoot. Outside of the salon, Bridget loves to unwind by enjoying a braai and a good movie or two.
Bridget will become qualified in 2023.

Dabbling in the art of foils, Ella is the wonderful wing woman on all big styling transformations. Whether you’re needing an excuse to experiment with soft, pretty autumnal hues or a fabulous head massage, Ella is always offering a helping hand.

Moving from a dairy farm to the big smoke to pursue hairdressing, her passion and drive for the industry is admirable. Known for her big heart and kind nature, Ella simply adores any opportunity to leave people happier than before. We simply cannot wait to see her skills further develop alongside our team of experts.

Charlotte’s liveliness and eagerness to learn is contagious. Journeying through radical length and colour transformations herself, Charlotte is a wealth of knowledge despite her young age.
With a love for adventure, we can only anticipate how time will both enhance and expand Charlotte’s vast styling repertoire. Not to mention, Charlotte’s passionate support for mental health charities seeing us step into new initiatives in the coming months.

Approaching 20 years in the industry, this ray of sunshine brings a wealth of knowledge to our team with a career as a senior stylist, technical educator, and salon manager across salons in Palmerston North, Waikato, Auckland, Queensland, and Melbourne. This new mum will be in our salon part time to keep our busy team focused on giving you the best care possible. You’ll likely find her behind reception making bookings, assisting our clients with selecting the perfect hair care products, and assisting our stylists as needed.
